Great Experience!
"Due to some physical limitations, we were unable to hike while we were in Colorado this yer. We ran across Altitude ATV and decided to try it out. The staff was very helpful in getting us into the right ride for us, the side-by-side 900 Razor, and even though it cost more, going the 4 hours is really worth it. We had a blast driving on several of the trails, and got to see places not accessible by regular vehicle. We didn't see too much wildlife, but saw where bear had torn apart dead trees, and seeing all the cows and calves was neat. The ATV trails are interesting and so different from each other. There are ones that are rocky and go up the mountain, and some that travel through streams and into beautiful Aspen groves. You can go as fast or as slow as you want, and the side-by-sides are easy to operate. Lake Vallecito is a beautiful area and you can get a lot of good views of the lake from the trails. Pack a lunch and stop for a picnic on the mountainside. We were glad the Texas guy in the post below warned us to take our jackets!"

"Had the time of our lives. The people of Altitude ATV had great advice on what to bring. The owner David went out of his way to make sure we had a great time on our all day rental. We will be coming back to Altitude anytime we are in the area!!!"

Best bang for my buck
"If you come to Durango you have to take an ATV ride up the mountain. I rented two side by side razors and spent half the day on the mountain, ate lunch in town, and spent the afternoon back up the mountain. The views change from morning to evening and both are awesome. Note to people from Texas like myself, don't wear shorts, t-shirt, and flip flops with this ATV experience. I did... and I drove straight back down the mountain and bought every jacket, sweat shirt, and hoodie I found. After that the elevation was enjoyable....it gets cold at the top. It was the best bang for my buck on my Durango vacation. I will be back!"

Dave was so helpful!
"Dave was so helpful and friendly in getting a novice atv rider out on the trail. Despite it being a very busy morning, he was very helpful the whole time and was so polite to all the customers. My 11 year old son had a permanent smile on his face during the whole ride. Thanks for creating such a great experience for us!"
